Osaka: "HONMAYA" and the Advanced Water Treatment System
Through the advanced purification systems of the Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau, harmful substances such as agrichemicals and endocrine disruptors are eliminated. Through this implementation, Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau has become the first water utility provider in Japan to be certified under the Water GLP (Good Laboratory Practices for Water Quality Testing) certification.

2008 marked the 35th anniversary year of the sister city relationship between Osaka and Chicago.  Thanks to the strong support of the community, all of our events were sucessful and many planted seeds of ideas for the future.  We hope to continue meaningful exchange in the business and cultural field for this year as well.
